Involved extensively in the game development, audio, and education communities, Alexander is a Committee Member of the Audio Engineering Society, an Appointed Council Member on the Board of the Independent Society of Musicians, a Trust Governor for Brighton Aldridge Community Academy, and a Trustee on the board of the Scottish Game Developers Association. He is a Mentor with the Audio Developer Conference, a STEM Ambassador, a Video Games Ambassador for Into Games, a Mentor for Limit Break, and an Industry Advocate for Grads in Games.

Alexander is a Full Member of BAFTA, a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts, a Professional Member of the Game Audio Network Guild, a Member of the Royal Society of Musicians, a Member of the International Game Developers Association, and an Affiliate Member of the Royal Aeronautical Society. In the City of London, Alexander has been elected to the Freedom of the Worshipful Company of Musicians and is an Associate Member of the Honourable Company of Air Pilots.

A keen supporter of local, national, and international causes, Alexander’s additional charity work includes acting as an Audio Consultant for the United Nations (UNCDF), a Dialogue Engineer for the US non-profit, Front Porch, and a Video Artist for Global Citizen. He was a Lead Digital Artist for the XX Commonwealth Games, a Digital Art Practitioner for Aberdeen City Council, a Live Video Artist for the Scottish Chamber Orchestra, and a Video Artist for Cryptic.

Trusted upon to judge for awards and competitions, Alexander served twice as a Jury Member for the BAFTA Scotland Awards for the ‘Best Game’ category. He was also an Industry Judge for Grads in Games’ Search for a Star competition, a Judge for Into Games’ IG50 initiative, a Games Reviewer for the Orwell Foundation’s Orwell Youth Prize, and a STEM Judge for the British International Education Association’s Youth Innovation competition.
